How you can help Victorians impacted by bushfires

News Article Date:
Tuesday, 7 January 2020

The bushfires affecting Victoria are far from over.

The Victorian Government has partnered with Bendigo Bank and The Salvation Army to establish an appeal, with 100% of donated funds going directly to communities in need.

An Advisory Panel, chaired by former Victorian Deputy Premier Pat McNamara, will consider and recommend where the funds are distributed. Donations can be made at any Bendigo Bank branch or online at Community Enterprise Foundation™.

Emergency managers and relief and recovery organisations are asking people to not donate goods. They are overwhelmed by donations in relief centres and it is diverting resources away from critical tasks. The best way people can help impacted communities is through financial donations.

Donations to the Bushfire Disaster Appeal can be made at any Bendigo Bank branch or online via www.communityenterprisefoundation.com.au/make-a-donation/bushfire-disaster-appeal/
